The Air Force Cemetery is located within the new cemetery in the area of Glyfada, which was inaugurated in 2018. The military section of the cemetery was created by the Municipality of Glyfada and granted to the Ministry of National Defence. In the cemetery visitors can find the Church of Archangels Michael and Gabriel, protectors of the Air Force, which was built after a donation from the Martinos family. In addition, there are numerous monuments within the Cemetery erected in honour of the fallen Greek Aviators from World War I until today. Their number is about 750. The site is also adorned with a Mirage aircraft.
