Sculptor Dimitris Armakolas from Tinos created this equestrian statue of Alexander the Great in 1997. It is a brass sculpture of the artist's mature period, which depicts the figure of the Macedonian king on horseback. At the pedestal of the sculpture, there is an engraved inscription reading “Alexander, son of Philip” in Greek. This work, as well as eight other sculptures by Armakolas, have adorned the premises of the National Hellenic Research Foundation since 2008.
