This sculpture was created by the sculptor Nikos Perantinos on the initiative of the Municipality of Kallithea and is a tribute and an expression of gratitude to all the fallen fighters of Greek history. It is a marble composition, at the base of which are depicted scenes of battles from various periods of the past. Directly above it, there is an engraved inscription with the name of the statue. At the top of the pedestal are two figures joining hands and holding them up in the air, one male, dressed in military attire, and one female. The man symbolises the soldier who is called upon to defend his country, and the woman is an allegory for the values for which the fighter is fighting: his country, his faith, his family, his mother, his partner, his daughter.
